1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RepoClip, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
2. Description of Service
RepoClip is an AI-powered service that generates promotional videos from GitHub repositories. We analyze your code and create videos with narration, visuals, and animations.
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only submit repositories you have the right to use and share
- Not use the service for illegal or harmful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or abuse the service
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
4. AI-Generated Content & Voice Policy
RepoClip uses artificial intelligence to generate video content, including images, narration scripts, and voice-over audio. Users should understand the following:
No Voice Cloning: RepoClip does not offer voice cloning, voice replication, or any functionality that imitates a specific individual's voice. All narration is generated using OpenAI's standard text-to-speech API with a fixed set of preset synthetic voices (alloy, echo, fable, onyx, nova, shimmer). Users cannot upload, train, or create custom voice models.
Voice Policy Guarantees:
- Users cannot generate or modify voices to resemble any real or identifiable person
- Available voices are fixed preset options only with no customization or training using user-provided samples
- Voice-over output is limited exclusively to narration for users' own software repository promotional videos
- We have no plans to add voice cloning, custom voice training, or voice personalization features
Prohibited uses of AI-generated content:
- Impersonating or misrepresenting the identity of any person through generated voice-over or visual content
- Creating deepfakes, misleading media, or content intended to deceive others about its origin or authorship
- Using generated content for fraud, defamation, harassment, or any illegal purpose
- Representing AI-generated voice-over as the speech of a real, identifiable individual
All generated content is intended solely for the purpose of creating promotional and explanatory videos about software repositories. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your code and content. By using RepoClip, you grant us a limited license to process your code for the purpose of generating videos.
Videos generated by RepoClip are owned by you, subject to the usage rights granted by your subscription plan.
6. Subscription and Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Lemon Squeezy. You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
Important: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com). Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Lemon Squeezy provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
7. Limitation of Liability
RepoClip is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
